NEW Heartland User Group: Southeast Michigan SMB IT Pro Group: Inaugural meeting Tuesday April 19th 6-8:00pm

I wanted to let everyone know about a new group forming in Michigan.  The Southeast Michigan SMB IT Pro Group will have their Inaugural meeting on Tuesday April 19th 6-8:00pm.  The event will be held at the Caribou Coffee in a Private Meeting Room located at 31901 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak, MI.  This is the inaugural meeting of a group that will explore a wide variety of small and medium business technologies for the IT professional. This group is membership supported at $50 per year. Non-members are welcome to attend at no charge.  So if you are a Microsoft partner in the SMB space you will want to attend this meeting!

What is it? Case study: How it is being used in one small business replacing PC’s and providing terminal server type access to the network.   Although Microsoft is currently marketing Multipoint Server to educational customers, the product team specifically developed the Premium Edition to meet the needs of small business. This server is built on terminal services technology and can be an inexpensive replacement for PC’s in the network and provide remote access. In this meeting we’ll review some materials on MultiPoint and hear from a consultant that has deployed MultiPoint Server to one of his clients.

RSVP: Email Amy Babinchak at amy@harborcomputerservices.net so they an estimate on how many people to expect.
