Goofy Training Update — Starting to taper the distance

GoofyMedals 4 weeks to go and somewhere along the line I messed up the math in calculating my weeks left for the run.  I am 4 weeks out but somehow I have only 3 weeks left on the plan I have been planning.  So what to do, well I will just run a good week of a total of about 24 miles.  Then get back on the official schedule.

So fun story about the running, normally in the mornings after I walk my kiddos to school I will just leave for my run, which during the week is typically 5 or 6 miles.  I also know one a lot of the parents that drop off their kids as well.  During the Ohio State smack down of the school up north I ran into one set of the parents.  They told me they always see me running, and one morning I made them crack up.

They saw me, it seemed like all morning:

  • when I walked the kids to school
  • when I started the run
  • On their way to Starbucks
  • On their way back.

Just made me smile, what is funny they never waved.  🙂
