Questions: Who is #1 and Which one of you was not watching?

super-bowl-xlii_001139_MainPictureI saw an interesting article on the amount of viewers for the Super Bowl on Sunday.  It was  the most watched Super Bowl in NFL History.  With The 97.5 million viewers who saw the New York Giants‘ last-minute win over the New England Patriots made it second biggest event in American television history.

The Top 5 Super Bowls:

  1. XLII (2008) Giants-Patriots 97.5

  2. XXX (1996) Cowboys-Steelers 94.08

  3. XLI (2007) Colts-Bears 93.18

  4. XX (1986)  Bears-Patriots 92.57

  5. XXVII (1993) Cowboys-Bills 90.99

So my question is: What was the #1 biggest event in American television history and what was the amount of viewers for that event?
