I hope everyone enjoyed the session and was able to take a look at the different ways to move to MOSS 2007. Question: Can I install SharePoint directly on the SBS2003 server integrate it with the Exchange 2003 on SBS2003 and upgrade the SharePoint site that comes with SBS2003?

Question: For upgrade of a single database, do you create separate db's for each collection?
Answer: It really depends on the end result you wish to happen and the end result

Question: Are the upgrade paths consistent between SharePoint Server 2003 -> MOSS 2007 and SharePoint Services 2.0 -> 3.0?
Answer: Yes they are. Take a look here for the different articles to assist you:

Question: How does the Topic page in SPS convert over since V3 doesn't use Topics/Areas?
Answer: I believe the topic pages will be converted over to the new WIKI templates that are in place.

Question: How feasible would it be to do an in-place upgrade on an 800GB SharePoint 2003 site?
Answer: It is feasible but most likely gradual or database migration will be the best choice.

Question: How complicated is the migration from Microsoft Content Management Server 2002?
Answer: It is a little more complicated than a pure upgrade from SharePoint, but the migration from Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 (MCMS) 2002 to SharePoint 2007 is well documented. Take a look here for detailed guidance:

Question: Are there any tools to migrate an Oracle 9 database to SharePoint 2007 that would make the migration easier?
Answer: I was not really able to find any free tools to really help with this solution, and given the complex nature, you are most likely looking at an Oracle to SQL migration, then bringing the data in SharePoint, with that said, when I did some looking, I found several partners that seem to offer this exact service. I wish I had a better answer for you on this one.

Question: Do we still need a third party search or is the search capability improved on SharePoint 2007
Answer: NO, the 2007 SharePoint Search engine is simply incredible! If you have any questions about search please email me! Here are some additional resources:
