Hate typing in long path names?

If your like me you hate typing?  More specifically when you need to head into the command prompt, and have to go into a deep folder structure.  Don’t you just love having to type in a long path.  Ah the joy of long path names.  🙂  Especially if you do demos for your customers, friends and family, hoping to not make any typos.  I got this tip from one of my teammates Kai Axford.  Well the Power Toys have a cool tool: Open Command Window here.  This Power Toy adds an “Open Command Window Here” context menu option on file system folders. This gives users a quick way to open a command window (cmd.exe) pointing at the selected folder. After installation, right click on the folder you would like to have a quick launch command window for and select “Open Command Window Here.”  It looks like this:

On XP and I believe 2000 and 2003 you can use *. From C:> type "cd doc*". As long as it’s unique at doc you will be in Documents and Settings.

    Enjoy!
