The US Census Bureau has put in an order for 500,000 Windows Mobile 5 devices so that they can go door-to-door and take census information for the 35% of Americans who choose not to fill out the questionnaire by post.

This is one,  if not the largest Windows Mobile device order and will keep the good guys over a HTC busy for quite some time :-)
