Document Collaboration Companion Beta provides Office for Mac users new ways to work with both Windows-based Office Systems and Office for Mac colleagues with easier downloading/uploading capabilities to SharePoint and Office Live Workspaces. The result? Simpler, more efficient collaboration with your colleagues. Delivering these capabilities will provide Office for Mac users the opportunity to take full advantage of integrative online productivity as the melding of software and services transform the cross-platform tools landscape.

The highlights of Document Collaboration Companion Beta include simplified downloading and uploading, document check-out/in, offline document caching, SharePoint Workspace, Document Library, and Office Live Workspace access and browsing. Document Collaboration Companion will be released in a private beta in February.
