Breaking News: Office 365 is HERE!

Office 365

Finally.. the day we’ve been waiting for.  Office 365 has been released to the web.  The beta is over.  The horses are out of the gate.  Office 365 is available for purchase.

Here’s how their home page introduces it:

“It's familiar Microsoft Office collaboration and productivity tools delivered through the cloud. Everyone can work together easily with anywhere access to email, web conferencing, documents, and calendars. It includes business-class security and is backed by Microsoft. Whether you are a small business or multinational enterprise, Office 365 offers plans designed to fit your organization's unique needs. Learn more today.”

You may recall that I blogged about it in part 22 of my “Cloudy April” series.  Check out that post for my summary of the benefits, if you’d like.  But of course the Office 365 web site has the complete details.

The official launch event is happening right now in New York City.  (You can watch it via a live stream, too.)

And for the first time, here is the final comprehensive list of the pricing options, ranging from individuals, small businesses, mid-sized businesses, “kiosk” users, all the way up to the biggest enterprises.

Pricing Options

“Do I have to choose one of these plans for all of my people?”

Nope.  You can mix-and-match.  Buy just what you need based on their needs.

Try it out.  Ease into it on a trial basis, deploy it for just some of your users or groups, and start working on the plan to migrate your users.  Microsoft and Microsoft’s partners are ready to help you.

Hey… this was cool.  I had my browser sitting on the pricing page, and this window appeared next to it…
