Microsoft is unveiling a new resource for ANYONE who is interested in learning the beginnings/basics/starting-points for developing software.  The Beginner Developer Learning Center is a free online site containing easy-to-use tutorials and lessons for beginners.  Here are the details from an e-mail I received about it:

  • With the Beginner Developer Learning Center, people with little or no computer programming experience can Happy New Developernow learn how to build personalized Windows applications and Web sites through a series of fun, non-intimidating, multimedia, step-by-step tutorials.
  • There are 45 lessons and 31 short How-To videos that are organized into 2 learning paths: the Windows Development track, and the Web Development track. Each lesson is categorized into 3 levels of difficulty in order to provide a smooth learning progression.
  • As a result, they are becoming more attractive and accessible for people with no prior computer programming experience.
