Please respond to the survey:

System Center is changing.  We are aligning to the Windows Server Semi-Annual Channel update process, which will provide for frequent and continuous releases.  (see announcement here.)

Because of this - the SCOM product team would love to hear your inputs on this change.  And we would also like to hear from you on other improvements that we should focus on.

Your survey response will help us plan and prioritize features for the new release model.

Additionally, always remember that your voice for your requests, or to vote up other request you feel are important, is USERVOICE.  If you look at the top uservoice requests, these are the features that the product group has been adding to SCOM 2016, and working on for the next version.  If you don’t join the conversation, we wont know what's important to YOU!

  1. HI Kevin,

we got some escalation for below MP and we are facing some challenges like one folder is accessible from one management server console and one is from other. Its typical to find that reason. so we need some improvements on this and also needs more improvements in perf reports chart like it shows raw reports if we calculate disk utilization report from generic report library which is useless so we needs to prepare the chart which shows exact information that this much disk is used at this point of time.

Windows Server AppFabric Jump 1.0.0.0 06/10/2010

SCOM requires max improvements in reporting part we are able to deliver but by customization. so its better if thees reports were fetch with the help of default reporting library.

Hey – don’t tell me. 🙂 Fill out a uservoice and take the survey!

  2. Jeff Carter says:

What happened to the detailed MP Guides? Customers want to know what every Monitor/Rule does in order for them to enable/disable them. One example would be SCOM 2012 R2 – Skype For Business 2015.

    1. Kevin Holman says:

Skype 2015 MP is unique – the skype team should have supplied a guide, but they didn’t. However, the structure is almost identical to the Lync 2013 MP – so you can use that guide for any advanced configuration.

Almost every other MP we ship comes with the MP guide. This is the exception, not the rule.

  3. Morten says:

Thanks, have filled it out. Just want the team to focus on fixing all the small bugs that has been there since 2007 version.
Also get stuff just to work more consistent when it comes to authoring MPs. As of now I try to use as little as possible the built in stuff, and use powershell to do all the heavy lifting. Hoping for a brighter future for SCOM

Filled in the survey. One of the top features I’d like is a management pack that integrates with the new Azure Monitor Rest API to get the health of all your azure resources. Figuring it out how to do it myself, but seems like something MS should be providing.
