  1. Mikael Anderson says:

The dashboards widget introduced with version 6.6.0.0 is fantastic.
However the responsiveness is so darn slow. Only in small environments it seems to work okay.
On the other hand when used with your custom groups I am very thankful for this pack.
I would even install it without SQL.

  2. Erling B. Kjeldsen says:

The Summary Dashboard in 6.4.4.0 - is timing out - somehow.. I only get the error - after waiting for something like 1-3 minutes...

An error occurred executing the command: [Microsoft.SQLServer.Visualization.Library.DataProviders!DatacenterDashboardDataProvider/GetDatacenterDashboardData] in provider: [Microsoft.SQLServer.Visualization.Library.DataProviders.DatacenterDashboardDataProvider,
Microsoft.SQLServer.Visualization.Library.DataProviders, Version=6.6.4.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=XXXXXXXXXXXX]. : The client has been disconnected from the server. Please call ManagementGroup.Reconnect() to reestablish the connection.

    at Microsoft.EnterpriseManagement.Presentation.DataAccess.CoreDataGateway.b__2[TResult](<>f__AnonymousType0`1 data)

Note the key-token i have replaced with XXXXXX

Any good reason why it dosen't Work at all ?

    1. Irfan says:

This issue is resolved. Please check MP below. In My lab I am able to access Dashboard without any error and able to create new dashboard using SQL Dashboard as template as well.

  3. Erling B. Kjeldsen says:

Sorry - Off Course i ment version 6.6.4.0 and not 6.4.4.0 - ups....

  4. B. Wright says:

This is all fine and dandy, but in the instance view/dashboard you can no longer filter by server name, all the instances show as "MSSQLSERVER'. Pretty counterproductive when one needs to pick a specific instance to view the current metrics.

  5. Kevin Holman says:

    @B.Wright -

I TOTALLY agree. Please raise this as an issue at
    https://connect.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/SC_Public

  6. Flash says:

kevin, I couldnt search your blog for tunning tip SCOM 2012 R2 environment, Our current prod console is very sluggish; do you have any tips to make it better?

  7. Kevin Holman says:

@Flash - my entire blog is one big tuning tip. I recommend reading all the articles. 🙂

  8. Gürel says:

    Hi all,

After deploying SQL MP 6.6.4.0 i'm getting several "The Operations Manager agent processes are using too much processor time" alerts. Any idea to deep analysis on this issue ? Thanks in advance

  9. Mike Schuler says:

It is possible to disable the automatic database consistency check in the MP for SQL Server 2014?

  10. Matt Hansen says:

@Erling B. Kjeldsen I'm having the same issue. Reference my open TechNet Forum thread.

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/operationsmanagergeneral/thread/06f089cd-c3ec-4153-9d6d-bdf7940af614/ Does anyone have a resolution for this??

  11. Martin says:

Same here, been broken for at least the last 3 versions:
An error occurred executing the command: [Microsoft.SQLServer.Visualization.Library.DataProviders!DatacenterDashboardDataProvider/GetDatacenterDashboardData] in provider: [Microsoft.SQLServer.Visualization.Library.DataProviders.DatacenterDashboardDataProvider,
Microsoft.SQLServer.Visualization.Library.DataProviders, Version=6.6.4.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]. : The client has been disconnected from the server. Please call ManagementGroup.Reconnect() to reestablish the connection.

  12. Bill Watts says:

Same issue as Martin's. This worked for about a week, and has not worked since. That was about 3 weeks ago. Currently on SCOM 2012 R2 UR8 - ran the appropriate SQL scripts and installed all of the 6.6.4 MP's.

  13. Tibi B says:

Same issue over here. Installed 6.6.4 MPs on SCOM 2012 R2 , CU3

  14. Tibi B says:

Strange enough the summary dashboard works after a SQL service restart. Keeps working for some weeks but once the error is triggered it requires another restart.

  15. PatRick says:

Kevin, could you pls walk over to the guys and kick them in the... you know 🙂
Really, I don't get it why they are not able to test and deliver in a way we (customers) are expecting from Microsoft.

  16. michal says:

After upgrading SQL MP from 6.6.0.0 to 6.6.4.0 we got alert from OpsMgr SQL System Center Management Health Service Credentials Not Found. Is it required to configure Action, Discovery and Monitoring run as accounts also for OperationsManager/DataWarehouse
SQL server, even if the Data Warehouse run as accounts are set?

  17. Greg Kozick says:

After installing this MP in my organization. We're having major trouble with production SQL Servers agent CPU % topping out and causing major production problems. We opened a support case with Microsoft and they narrowed it down to CPU collection rules
and monitors which they had us disable. I do not suggest installing this pack until they resolve these issues. This also caused login timeouts and RunAs account permission errors as a result.

  18. sam says:

Hello, it is possible to install the MP SQL 2014 without crush the MP SQL 2008/20012, thank you for your reponse.

  19. Bunny says:
