MCITP Sharepoint Administrator VS the New MCSE Sharepoint Certification

For existing Sharepoint administrators working on Sharepoint 2010, you can opt to get certified on MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional) on Sharepoint 2010, which requires the passing of 2 exams, Exam 70-667 https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-667 and 70-668 https://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/mcitp-certification.aspx.

The new successor Sharepoint certification will be the new MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solution Expert) Sharepoint certification which features a core MCSA (Solution Associate) on Windows Server 2012 and 2 new Sharepoint exams:

  • Design a SharePoint Topology
  • Plan Security
  • Install and Configure SharePoint Farms
  • Create and Configure Web Applications and Site Collections
