    Looks like Apple finally said "enough!" to cheap, low end tv screens for laptops. The question is, will Windows laptops finally follow suite? In no other area have we seen a steady decline in performance and quality than in desktop screen resolutions. Even high res desktop monitors are becoming increasingly difficult to find. If Microsoft doesn't fix this, there will be a further "flight to quality". It's a shame that Metro was clearly designed for low dpi screens as a workaround…

    Let's see. They killed the 17" line. No Ethernet port [adapter sold for a few fingers]. No optical drive [I'm sure sold separately for an arm and a few fingers]. But you can get it with a 512GB SSD. That will probably jack up the price by at least $600.
