Installing Windows Server 2008 x64 on the Lenovo ThinkPad W500

Now that I have the ThinkPad W500 back from the TS2 team, I decided to run back through the install of Windows Server 2008 Enterprise x64 using the instructions I documented for the ThinkPad T400.  As expected, the instructions are nearly identical.  In fact, the drivers for the W500 are the same as the T400 with the Webcam software being the only difference I could spot.

Since the W500 I have doesn’t have the Verizon EVDO chip, I could not test the drivers but I wouldn’t expect to see any issues there.  See the updated instructions for the T400 if you are interested in that cell phone chipset.
