Office 2010 Student Select Technology Guarantee

I am excited to share the news with you that starting today, Microsoft will offer a “Technology Guarantee” program for the Academic Volume Licensing Student Select and Student Select Plus offerings. With the Office 2010 Technology Guarantee, students and faculty can buy and use Office 2007 today, and then upgrade to Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 for a media delivery cost to be set by the reseller – minimal, if any.

How it works:

  • Tech Guarantee is available to Student Select and Student Select Plus customers on Office Pro Plus 2007, Office Enterprise 2007 and Office Standard 2007.
  • Students purchasing these products between March 5 and September 30th, will be allowed to purchase Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 media without buying a second license of Office. The Tech Guarantee applies regardless of how students acquire software – either through physical media or Electronic Software Download. Students will need to pay whatever media/software delivery costs may apply as set by their reseller.
  • Additionally, the corresponding Office 2010 software would need to be purchased by October 31, 2010 to take advantage of the TG.
