I just finished this great book my parents sent me.

The Last Lecture [ROUGHCUT] (Hardcover)

by Randy Pausch (Author), Jeffrey Zaslow (Author) "A LOT OF professors give talks titled "The Last Lecture..."

Randy found out he had cancer, only 3-6 months to live. He has 3 small children, he wanted to find a why to talk to them in the future. Being a professor he gave "The Last Lecture"  He knew it would be recorded, his kids could watch it in the future.  He talks about Childhood dreams, amazing how many he has accomplished.  Randy Died July of this year.   I recommend reading the book first then go watching the video of his lecture at www.thelastlecture.com.  It's 90 minutes, but it really makes you think!  Even if you don't buy the book, go watch the video.

Microsoft 2.0: How Microsoft Plans to Stay Relevant in the Post-Gates Era (Hardcover)

Mary Jo has been studying Microsoft for many years.  She knows many things about many of our products, she has been given great access to our new products.  She talks extensively in this book about how Microsoft will do without Bill Gates. 

I just bought but haven't had time to read yet:

Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die by Chip Heath and Dan Heath (Hardcover - Jan 2, 2007)

Someone at a recent conference recommended it to me.  It sounds interesting, why do some ideas survive and other don't?  Two Brothers wrote it. A book with a piece of duct tape on the cover can't be all bad.  Hopefully I will find time soon to read it.
