FIPS and Visual Studio 2015

I have been working with customers who enable FIPS for awhile now, and as with my previous post on Power BI Desktop, this setting sometimes crops up in unexpected ways. My colleague, Sam Lester and I ran into another FIPS-related issue recently, this time with Visual Studio 2015. Sam's done a great job to explain the issue and resolution/workaround here.

For this one, it has been resolved with an update to an extension, and, as Sam points out you can uninstall/reinstall to get the updated extension or remove the extenstion "Application Insights for Visual Studio"
