Power BI Desktop — using On-Premises Data and options for SharePoint and SSRS


I've been branching out a lot recently to look at some of the Data Visualization tools in Microsoft products, but haven't had a chance to post much on them yet.

My SQL Colleague, Sam Lester has been partnering with me on this, and recently published a nice post on the "current" options for Power BI desktop and Sql Server Reporting Services 2016. I say "current' since SQL 2016 hasn't yet been released, but it should be in the next few weeks.
