I'm surprised to see how many people fail to find what they're looking for in the web. It seems like poeple cannot properly describe what they're looking for. I will try to share here a few simple techniques that have worked for me. They might be obvious to you, but I have seen quite a few people that still don't apply it. Start with a good search engine. Vou tentar mostrar aqui algumas técnicas simples que funcionam para mim. Elas podem parecer óbias para você, mas vejo muita gente que não as utilizam. Começe com um bom site de busca. 1. If you're looking for a specific phrase, make sure you enclose your search term in quotes. This way, the search engine knows that you're not just looking for a page with all those words in it. So, don't search for new york search for "new york" 2. Make sure you find a unique piece of text that would be in the page you're looking for. If you're looking for some lyrics, don't use the name of the song as your search criteria. Instead, use one part of the song that is unique. So, don't search for new york search for "i want to wake up in a city". 3. Restrict your search to a specific site. If you're searching for something about Microsoft Development, you will probably find it in msdn.microsoft.com. To restrict the query, you need to put the term "site", followed by a colon and the site name. For example, instead of searching for label you can search for label site:msdn.microsoft.com That's it. I know it's not much, but these three simple techniques seem to be ignored by a great number of people and they just can't find the right stuff... |
