Time to Upgrade your MCSE to the new MCITP Certifications

If you're currently an MCSE on Windows Server 2003 and like to keep up-to-date on your certification you should look at the NEW certifications available from Microsoft.

If you're already an MCSE 2003 you only need to take this exam: Upgrading Your MCSE on Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008.

If you're an MCSA 2003 take this exam: Upgrading Your MCSA on Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008.

Passing the MCSE Upgrade exam gives you three new certifications:

MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration

Passing the MCSA Upgrade exam gives you two new certifications:

MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration

 

That's it?

Oh!  If only it were that easy!!  Sure, if all you want is the MCTS Certifications, you're done.  But I know you love taking tests and want the new MCITP Certifications, so you still have more to do.  So what else do you need to do?

Well, that depends on where you want to go with this.  There are two MCITP Certifications and listed below are the additonal exams you need to take.

 

MCITP: Server Administrator

Exam 70-646: Windows Server 2008, Server Administrator

MCITP: Enterprise Administrator

Exam 70-620: Configuring Microsoft Windows Vista Client or Exam 70-624: Deploying and Maintaining Windows Vista Client and 2007 Microsoft Office System Desktops

and

Exam 70-647: Windows Server 2008, Enterprise Administrator
