HELP!!! I'm trying to install 2007 Office and it fails because I used to have the beta version on my system!!

You just got back from the 2007 Office launch and you ran right in and tried to download and install the FREE version of Office you were given.  You start to install and, oh no!!!  you get an error "Setup is unable to proceed" because it still thinks the beta version is there.  "But I uninstalled it!!" you say to yourself.  Well its not quite that simple.  There are probably still other "add-ins" there that you have to uninstall before you can install the released version.

Check to see if any of the following are still there...then uninstall them and retry installing your FREE software:

  • 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS (Beta)
  • 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF (Beta)
  • 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as XPS (Beta)
  • Microsoft Expression Web Designer Beta 1
  • Microsoft Expression Web Designer CTP1
  • Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats (Beta 2 Technical Refresh)
