Virtual Server 2005 R2 changes summary

Now that Virtual Server 2005 R2 has been officially launched at IT Forum this week, here's a quick summary of what's different:

- Performance improvements - particularly for guests which are running memory-intensive applications
- Performance improvements - install time SCSI shunt driver
- Scalability - x64 bit host support to allow more virtual machines per host
- High Availability - Support for iSCSI to cluster virtual machines across hosts
- High Availability - Virtual Server host clustering support, guest operating system agnostic over SAN, iSCSI or DAS and catering for both planned and unplanned downtime
- Manageability - PXE boot support in Virtual Machine BIOS
