In this session we will cover all aspects of the storage stack in Windows Server 2012 R2 and how it can help ease the pressure on IT and respond to this rapid growth of storage needs.

Windows Server 2012 R2 – Rethink Networking (Friday 2nd May)

Windows Server 2008 R2 introduced several new networking-related technologies, and Windows Server 2012 builds on these advances with an array of new and enhanced features that help reduce networking complexity while lowering costs and simplifying management tasks. With Windows Server 2012, you have tools that can automate and consolidate networking processes and resources, more easily connecting private clouds with public cloud services and seamlessly connecting users to IT resources and services across physical boundaries and private and public cloud environments.

Windows Server 2012 R2 offers IT administrators more and better tools with functionality that:

  • Automates and consolidates networking processes and resources.
  • More easily connects private clouds with public cloud services.
  • Gives users access to IT resources and services across physical boundaries and private and public cloud environments.

In this TechNet Live session we will cover all aspects of the networking stack in Windows Server 2012 R2 and how it were changing how we think about networking in the datacentre.

Windows Server 2012 R2 – Access and Information Protection Overview (Friday 9th May)

Information exists almost everywhere in your organization-on servers, laptops, desktops, removable devices, and in emails. Users need to be able to access this information from everywhere, share it where appropriate, and achieve maximum productivity with the assets they have.

Such an environment can lead to confidential information being leaked and intellectual property being lost. It can also result in reduced productivity, increased business costs, and an inability to meet growing regulatory requirements.

Windows Server 2012 R2 has fundamentally changed the approach to identity and access management with significant improvements to Active Directory and with the introduction of Dynamic Access Control.

In this TechNet Live session we will cover all these new changes along with new features in the R2 release such as Web Application Proxy, Work Folders and Workplace Join.

Windows Server 2012 R2 – Server Manageability and Automation
(Friday 16th May)
