New Windows Server 2012 IT Camps Coming!
Yes it’s the season of IT Camps again and I’m really excited to announce our next round of IT Camps based on the recently released Windows Server 2012. With the release of Windows Server 2012 there is simply too much content to fit it all in for a 1 day camp. So this time around myself and Andrew are looking to do multiple waves of camps throughout the year. To give you an idea of how much content there is check out the image below.
As you can see we have a wide range of topics to cover and we can’t cover it all in a 1 day or even a 2 day camp. The content has been designed in a modular fashion so we can slice it up any way we want. For the first round of events we have decided to go with the following agenda. This agenda will focus on 3 broad areas: Multi-Server Management; Virtualization and Storage Management. Future camps will cover additional topics as needed so make sure you keep an eye out for additional camps.

At this Windows Server 2012 IT Camp, you will get first-hand experience with the new features and functionality enhancements of Windows Server 2012. With Windows Server 2012, you will have access to the most innovative and efficient server and cloud operating system for years to come. During this one day camp, you will experience Windows Server 2012 and dive deep into the following scenarios:
- Management and Automation: in box management tools to manage single server or groups of servers with Server Manager.
- Virtualization: explore Hyper-V Scale, Shared Nothing Live Migration, Hyper-V Replica and what it can do for your organisation.
- Storage: bringing storage and SAN capabilities to everyone with Storage Spaces, thin provisioning, continuous availability file systems and SMB3.
To attend this event you will need to bring your own laptop with you. To connect to the labs you will need the Remote Desktop Connection Client 7.0 Update installed. This client is built into Windows 7 and is a free download for Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista SP1 and SP2.
