As the economic times seem to be affecting all of us we have been thinking of ways to get technical update information to you without having to hop on an airplane. This also helps the environment so it’s win all around. Over the last couple of years or so we did regular TechNet Update events where myself and Kleefy would fly to all capital cities and deliver the latest and greatest content for you. In light of the economic crisis we have decided to take a different approach. We are going to run these events more regularly but use Office Live Meeting. We use Live Meeting all the time for internal meetings and have been experimenting using it for customer events for the last 6 months. The response has been very positive and people find it a great alternative to get access to content. So with that we are kicking of our first one next week. All the details are below and I encourage you to attend if the topic is of interest to you.
Title: Windows Server 2008 Technology Update
Abstract: Windows Server 2008 has been out for a few months now but there is still much to learn. Come here what the top 10 things you need to know about this powerful new platform. We will cover such technologies as Server Management; IIS 7.0; Windows PowerShell; Server Core; Security and Terminal Services. There will be lots of demo’s throughout to give you a firsthand view of how the new technology works. So attend this Live session to get the latest on the new Windows Server 2008 platform.
This is not to say we won’t be doing in-person events anymore. That is certainly not the case. We wanted to add a Live Meeting event as another way to get content to you.
So let me know what you think of this idea. When you register you will receive a Calendar invite. This will have all the details of the event with everything you need to attend.
Deeps and I hope to see many of you at this event!
