Rockstar INXS:::Switch:::The New Album

Hi folks,

This is a bit of an offbeat post but here goes anyway.  I just had to share with you my recent purchase of the new INXS Album Switch.  If you followed the Rockstar INXS series then you should know all about it.  I have to say the album is fantastic and I can’t stop listening too it.  While I’ve been travelling I’m listening on the plane; in hotel rooms and while I’m preparing for demos.

I’ ve always been a fan of INXS over the years and along with other fans I was saddened at the passing of Michael Hutchence and I never thought that INXS would find someone to replace him.  Then along came the Rockstar reality series and a whole bunch of prospective lead singers.  At the beginning it was really rough as each singer worked out their different style.  The ones that obviously didn’t fit into the band left early and then it got down to business.  There were some truly memorable performances and JD fortune won the hearts of the band with his original recording of Pretty Vegas.  He rocked the house and I think he really won the contest after that performance.  INXS liked the song so well thats its the first single to be released by the band.  Check out the video on VH1.

Which brings me to the rest of the album.  Although Pretty Vegas is an awesome song the rest of the album holds up on its own very well.  We start off with Devil’s Party which is a great opening and sounds very much like Michael Hutchence is in there somewhere!  Pay attention to Perfect Strangers; Hungry and Never Let You Go.  The last song; God’s Top Ten is awesome and sounds like a tribute to me.  You decide!  You can check them all out here!

It’s nice to see a legendary Aussie band back and rocking again!  When they tour down under I’ll be there for sure!
