How's that for a post title!  I'm excited because today marke the day that Microsoft enters the Backup and Recovery market with the launch of System Center Data Protection Manager.  This is our first realease in the disk-based backup recovery space and it's finally here!  In my previous role as Data Centre Manager for Microsoft Australia; I spent alot of my time on backups.  In fact it was the one thing that caused me the most pain.  DPM will eliminate some of that pain that is caused with traditional tape based backup methods.  The good thing is you can use a combination of both.  Backup data quickly with DPM when needed then used tape for longer term archiving.
