Has Blogging hit the mainstream?

Well today is my last day in the office for about two and half weeks so I thought I would do one last post for 2004!  I plan to spend some time at home with my family and try to do as little as possible. Hopefully I'll get to play some golf and just have some time to relax!

As I sign off for the year I would like you to ponder the following question.  Has blogging hit the mainstream?  Why you might ask?  Well the other night I was reading me newly arrived time magazine and their was an article in their titled "Blogs have their day".  It's an article about 3 amateur journalists and how they dethroned an American icon; namely Dan Rather.  The article was interesting in its view of the blogging phenomenon.  They go on to say that the current method we get our information by is often filtered through a lens so we really don't get the whole story and that blogs are the current "real" truth out there.

Let me know what you think about this....

Check out https://www.powerlineblog.com/   This is the site of the 3 journalist the article is talking about and check out the sub-article titled "10 things we learned about Blogs" on Time magazines web-site!

As we come into the festive season I thought it was time to post something different and cast our minds away from technology even if only for a brief moment.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and fabulous New Year!  All the best for 2005 and I'll see you in the blogosphere in the new year.

regards
