I remember the time that I was blown away by the newest P.C. that was delivered into the Company I was working for back in 1989. This was a IBM ps/2 MODEL 70 . It had a huge 40mb hard disk drive and 4mb of memory !. I was working as a new p.c. support "nugget" and could remember wondering how on earth would we fill up that huge amount of disk space on this £8000 sterling pound machine. Well things have definately moved on. What would we do without the USB drive and Flash drives, and our 40gb MP3 players . It was therefore with great interest that I was reading this article by Rob Beschizza "Inside Seagates R&D Labs", talking about how far and with what speed the disk technology is moving.
