Recommended reading.

Most Saturdays I freeze watching my daughter's football team. it's not so unusual. If you've got nothing better to do than read my blog, may I recommend this from Inspector Gadget about his football watching. It's good sometimes to be reminded that the worst I have to live with this weekend is the village under 8's deserving to get beaten.

If you want to read something philosophical but also computing related, Jeffrey Snover on the semantic gap is worth reading, if only for what he has to say about the inventor of a competing technology.

If you want something overtly technical, have a read of Mark Russinovich on file copy and why it isn't the trivial process you (probably) thought.
