Yes Microsoft!!! You finally get it! Now change the rest of it.

They are finally understanding it!  Another excellent name and another cool brand - Microsoft Surface.  I can hardly contain myself - someone in marketing actually is changing Microsoft bit by bit.  Could this be another trait of Ozziesoft - cool product names that inspire and that are easy to say and talk about in normal conversation? Something that you don't have to turn into an acronym to save time?  Something memorable?

So just to recap, we now have Zune, Silverlight, Surface!  Now we just need to get the fricking Live branding sorted out and we're half way there. 

I think I would leave the business products as-is though - they do the job ok (SQL, BizTalk, Server et al.)  With these products you need a kind of "does what it says on the tin".

Hang on a minute... what is Surface anyway? Well it's one of those Innovation moments I've been harping on about recently - the kind of Change the world or go home moments that make you excited and proud to work for one of the coolest companies on the planet.

I'm not going to tell you what it is though, the website (and Robert also) does a much better job of that than me.
