Forefront TMG 2010 Tools and SDK Update

Greetings TMG Administrators,

This month Microsoft released the new Forefront TMG 2010 Tools and Software Development Kit with some new updates since the last packages (TMG Beta 3 and TMG MBE). In this package there are two tools that we want to bring to your attention:

  • Security Configuration Wizard (SCW) Update for Forefront TMG Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition - this tool will assist you to apply a security configuration on TMG; this is the supported way to perform hardening on TMG.
  • EE Single Server Conversion tool for Forefront TMG - the Single server migration tool will assist in scenarios where you are moving from ISA 200x EE single server (CSS +FW) to a single TMG standalone server. Previously we needed two separate boxes EMS and Firewall when moving from Single ISA 200x EE. Now if you want to move from Single ISA 2006 EE to Single TMG EE (standalone) it is possible. Please download the EESingleServerConversionPack.exe tool from the link below and refer EESingleServerConversion.doc for the walk through steps.
