Error Installing SQL Server 2005 SP2 Security Update 948109 on TMG

If you run a TMG server, you may have noticed that SQL 2005 SP2 Security Update KB948109 fails to install and leaves error code 2BC3.
This occurs because the TMG report website operates on port 8008 and this confuses the patch installer.

There is good news, though; this patch is superceded by KB954606 which installs just fine on TMG.
So.. you can ignore the KB948109 patch and install the KB954606 update instead.
