Virtual Deployments, ISA Server and Small Business Server 2003 Premium Edition

Much has been said about the apparent conflict between the statements made in http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/virtualserver/evaluation/virtualizationfaq.mspx as regards the statements made in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/897614 and also http://support.microsoft.com/kb/840319.

The good news is that this conflict was not intentional and we're working to get the messaging clarified. We've coordinated this effort with the SBS team and the message we all agreed on is:

“Small Business Server 2003 Premium Edition without ISA Server 2000 or ISA Server 2004 is supported on virtual guest deployments.”

Look forward to seeing updates to relevant docuements in the near future.
