Multiple Application Protection policies(APP) post Intune MDM and MAM channel integration


Now that we have started the backend work to merge the Intune App Protection (also known as Mobile App Management - MAM) and MDM policy channels as mentioned here, you may see multiple policies with similar display names under App Policy in the Intune App Protection blade in the Azure console. This blog post is intended to explain when this could happen. Consider the following app deployment scenarios:

If you would like to clean-up the console and delete duplicate Application Protection policies, take a careful look at the targeting data (Apps and Groups) to see if it’s possible to merge the duplicated policies by creating the required targeting in a single policy. Once this is done, unwanted copies can be deleted.
