MVPs showcase Technology Community prowess at DevCon 2011

Developer Conference 2011Developer Conference 2011 is the premier technical event for technical professionals at Hyderabad interested in learning, connecting and exploring Microsoft technologies. The event is organised and managed by the volunteers of the Microsoft User Group, Hyderabad. MVPs lead the way with 

This highly anticipated event was organized on 1st October 2011 at Microsoft India Development Center, Hyderabad and was attended by more than 400 developers & IT professionals.

 The event registration started at 9.00 A.M, with separate arrangements for developer & student registration desk to manage crowd and clear quick security check. 

The event has started at 10.00 A.M with keynote on current trends in technology by Mr. Ramesh Loganathan – VP, Progress Software.

 There were two tracks for this event – a) Web Track & b) Platform Track.

 a)      Web track was started by Chander Dhall with sessions on writing elegant code in C# using expression trees. Following sessions in web track included:

  • Bringing HTML5 experiences to your ASP.NET Websites by Harish Ranganathan
  • ASP.NET MVC 3 by Chander Dhall.

b)      Platform track started by Namit & Rahul with session on Windows Azure. Following sessions in platform track were:

  • Windows Azure Storage by Charan 
  • Integration of SharePoint 2010 & Office 2010. 

Post lunch, the session started with the combined tracks followed by sessions on SQL Server Denali by Balaji Rathakrishnan & Deepak and "It is this easy to steal your click" – Security by Krishna Chaitanya.

The final session was by Abhijit Jana & Jebarson Jebamony on Knotting Windows Phone 7, Windows Azure and Kinect. The session was full of fun & interesting live demos with combination of Kinect, Azure & Windows Azure.

The sessions easily hooked the audience and they enjoyed the discussions. In all the sessions, speakers distributed lots of goodies to attendees. The twitter competition winner was announced and the event was wrapped up with the closing note by Mr Sudhakar Developement Manager at Microsoft MSIT.
