Erklärung:

Sollte die Internet Explorer Rendering Engine während des Renderns auf einen nicht behebbaren Fehler stoßen, so wird statt eine weiße („blank") Seite darzustellen, versucht die Seite im IE7 Modus darzustellen. Es kann natürlich sein, dass dies ebenfalls nicht erfolgreich ist.
