User cannot send email message to specific mailboxes by using Microsoft Outlook client in the Microsoft Office 365 environment

SYMPTOMS

Although this article
may apply to many different implementations in which Exchange and BlackBerry
devices interact, it is especially applicable in a Microsoft Office 365
environment.

In a Microsoft Office 365 environment, you are using
Microsoft Outlook client to send email messages to specific mailboxes. In this
scenario, you may receive the non-delivery report (NDR) message as below:

================================================

Delivery has failed to these recipients or distribution
lists:

<MailAddress>@<DomainName>

The recipient's e-mail address was not found in the
recipient's e-mail system. Microsoft Exchange will not try to redeliver this
message for you. Please check the e-mail address and try resending this
message, or provide the following diagnostic text to your system administrator.

================================================

Note, if you try to send message to the mailboxes that are
impacted by using OWA, everything works fine.

CAUSE

The issue occurs because the Offline Address Book (OAB) used
to send message is corrupted or not up to date.

RESOLUTION

To solve this issue, you can delete the OAB file on the
local disk and then re-synchronize with the Exchange online server.
