The Contact, Memo and Calendar synchronization with BlackBerry device may not work

SYMPTOMS

Although this article
may apply to many different implementations in which Exchange and BlackBerry
devices interact, it is especially applicable in a Microsoft Office 365
environment.

This article describes how you, as a System Administrator or
Help Desk specialist for your company, to help user to sync Contact, Memo and Calendar
to users BlackBerry device in a Microsoft Office 365 environment.

In the Microsoft Office 365 environment, the BlackBerry
users may notice that the users can get email push, however, the Contact, Memo
and Calendar synchronization with BlackBerry device do not work.

RESOLUTION

To successfully synchronize Contact, Memo and Calendar with
BlackBerry device, the BlackBerry users have to make sure that Wireless
Synchronization is turned on for Address Book, Memo and Calendar. After the
Wireless Synchronization is turned on, try to synchronize again.

Note For
troubleshooting, you can resent the Service Books to the Blackberry devices,
and then perform a Hard Reset on the Blackberry devices as well.

 

How to turn on the
Wireless Synchronization Contact, Memo and Calendar on the BlackBerry device

For Address Book:

  1. On the Home screen, select the Address Book;
  2. In the Address Book, select Options;
  3. Ensure that the Wireless Synchronization is
    turned "on" and then save.

For Calendar:

  1. On the Home screen, select Calendar;
  2. In the Calendar, click on the Menu and select
    Options;
  3. Ensure that the Wireless Synchronization is
    turned "on" and then save.

For Memo

  1. On the Home screen, select MemoPad;
  2. In the MemoPad, click on the Menu and select
    Options;
  3. Ensure that the Wireless Synchronization is
    turned "on" and then save.
