Sep. 7 - Sep. 13 Hot-Fix KB articles Weekly Release - Windows Legacy Products

Last week, 6 Windows legacy products related hot-fix KB articles were released, including 1 for Windows XP, 4 forWindows Server 2003, and 2 forWindows Server 2003 R2. Below are the details:

 

Windows XP - 1 KB article:

· 972878  The "Guaranteed service type" Group Policy setting returns to the default value after you restart a client computer that is running Windows XP or Windows Server 2003

 

Windows Server 2003 - 4 KB article:

· 972604  An application crashes in a terminal server session when the application passes a registry key name that is longer than 255 characters on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003

· 972840  The SNMP service does not respond to all SNMP requests on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003 after the Group Policy settings are refreshed

· 973570  A member server may stop responding if the Application Experience Lookup Service service runs on a member server that is running Windows Server 2003 SP2 or an x64-based version of Windows XP SP2

· 971387  The applications that call the disk quota API functions may stop responding, may crash, or may encounter other function failure when the current user loads a roaming profile in a Windows Server 2003-based domain

Windows Server 2003 R2- 1 KB article:

· 972071  Applications that use the UDP protocol may encounter poor performance on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003
