Last week, 9 Windows 6 related hot-fix KB article were released. Below are the details:

Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008- 6 KB articles:

· 973033  Duplicate computer names are generated when you configure an Unattend.xml file to generate random names for many computers on a network

· 973442  An application that uses the WMV codec cannot play back content that is encoded in the MBR format

· 973473  In an application that implements the Windows Imaging Component, some scaled reads of the cropped portion of an image may not read the correct rectangle in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008

· 970436  Internet Explorer 8 stops responding when you use the IME Pad to enter East Asian characters in an Internet Explorer 8 window in Windows Vista or in Windows Server 2008

· 973776  The security configuration information, such as the ACL, is not copied if a backup operator uses the Robocopy.exe utility together with the /B option to copy a file on a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008

· 969083  A Kerberos authentication fails together with the error code 0X80090302 or 0x8009030f on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista when the AES algorithm is used

Windows Server 2008 - 3 KB articles:

· 951430  A non-administrator user cannot log on to a domain from a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 if you set the locale information for the user by using a Group Policy preference setting

· 971403  The "Win32_share" WMI class cannot enumerate file shares or create file shares on a node in a Windows Server 2008 failover cluster

· 973816  You cannot start a computer that is running an Itanium-based version of Windows Server 2008 if the system hive size exceeds the 32-MB limit
