Apr. 25 – May 1 Hot-Fix KB articles Weekly Release – Windows Legacy Products

Hi Everyone,


Last week, 9 Windows legacy products related hot-fix KB articles were released, including 4 for Windows XP, 2 for Windows Server 2003, 2 for Systems Management Server, and 1 for Windows Media Player. Below are the details:


Windows XP - 4 KB articles:

·         958058  When you try to log on to a Windows XP SP3-based computer by using a roaming profile, the roaming profile cannot load
959160  When you run an application that uses the CryptEnumProviderTypes function application in Windows XP Service Pack 3, you receive the error message ERROR_MORE_DATA (0xea)

·         967705  When you try to print some data in the PDF format in Internet Explorer on a Windows XP-based computer, the main menu of Internet Explorer disappears

·         968006  After you uninstall some software updates in Windows Server 2003 or in Windows XP, some assembly files still display the updated file version instead of the original file version


Windows Server 2003 - 2 KB articles:

·         960898  Name resolution is broken between a Windows Server 2003-based parent domain and its child domains, and among the child domains, when scavenging is configured on both the parent and child DNS zones

·         954913  COM+ server applications crash intermittently when you enable the /3GB parameter on a Windows Server 2003-based computer


System Center - 2 KB articles:

·         969529  Users cannot enumerate collection members if hotfix 955262 is installed on System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 site servers

·         961983  Description of the hotfix rollup package for System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008: April 14th, 2009


Windows Media Player - 1 KB article:

·         954069  Windows Media Encoder 9 crashes when you switch the input and output viewers and change resources repeatedly
