Apr.13 – Apr. 19 Hot-Fix KB articles Weekly Release – Windows Legacy Products

Last week, 12 Windows legacy products related hot-fix KB articles were released, including 2 for Windows XP, 6 for Windows Server 2003, 4 for Windows Server 2003 R2, 1 for MOM, and 1 for WMP. Below are the details:


Windows XP - 2 KB articles:

·         957613  When you use a file handle for FileStream access in a SQL Server 2008 transaction, the transaction may randomly fail to commit in Windows XP

·         969262  Windows XP stops responding when heavy I/O operations occur on an NTFS-formatted volume


Windows Server 2003 - 6 KB articles:

·         957910  A Windows Server 2003 SP2-based iSCSI boot server cannot generate dump files if the server uses a Storport virtual miniport as the LUN controller

·         962994  Windows Server 2003 SP2-based domain controllers return incorrect error code to Kerberos requests during the shutdown process

·         967176  A Windows Server 2003-based file server may return file identifiers (Fids) that have the 0xffff value under heavy stress

·         969289  All network share access through the SMB protocol (client-side redirector) may fail on a Windows Server 2003-based computer

Windows Server 2003 R2 - 4 KB articles:

·         969451  Users cannot perform authentication through ADFS in a Windows Server 2003 R2 environment when the UPN suffixes contain a character that expands to a two-letter pair

·         969219  RPC 0x800706ba and 0x800706bf errors occur when backup software tries to create VSS shadow copies on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003 SP2

Microsoft Operations Manager - 1 KB article:

Windows Media Player - 1 KB article:

·         960490  You experience some issues when you use external storage media in Windows Media Player 11

    We have installed 2HBA on windows 2003 SP2 x64 bit .


    Old HBA Model: QLA2460

    Brand: QLogic and

    New adding another HBA Model: LPe1150.

    Brand: Emulex

    But we do not got LPe1150 HBA information and paths, but its driver are installed.
