Feb. 2 - Feb. 8 Hot-Fix KB articles Weekly Release - Windows Legacy Products

Last two weeks, 12 Windows legacy products related hot-fix KB articles were released, including 2 for Windows XP, 6 forWindows Server 2003, 1 forSystems Management Server, 1 for Data Protection Manager and 2 for System Center. Below are the details:

 

Windows XP - 2 KB articles:

· 959540  When you run an application that uses the scroll bar control of the Common Controls file on a Windows XP-based computer, the scroll bar control does not work correctly

· 960921 If you start a Windows XP-based portable computer while it is running on battery power, the brightness of the LCD screen is not decreased as expected

Windows Server 2003 - 6 KB articles:

· 960657 When you are running a C Shell script that includes the cut utility on a multiprocessor computer, the script may stop responding on a Windows Server 2003 R2 x64-based multiprocessor computer

· 961415 The tcsh process may exit abnormally when you run a C shell script on a multiprocessor computer that is running Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 2

· 956770 On a Windows Server 2003-based computer, you may have problems when you import many IP addresses on the network adapter from a text file by using the "netsh -f \<filename>" command

· 952185 A Windows Server 2003-based computer restarts unexpectedly, and a Stop error "0x00000027" occurs

· 961515 The subject name of a computer certificate that is issued by a Windows Server 2003-based server is set to the user principal name (UPN) of the computer account after you apply hotfix 943089

· 955543 All snapshots may be deleted unexpectedly in Windows Server 2003 and in Windows XP Professional x64 Edition when the snapshot protection mode is enabled, and the system is under memory stress

Systems Management Server - 1 KB article:

· 956944  Error message when you use the System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 console to connect to a Configuration Manager 2007 site server that is not running Service Pack 1

Microsoft Operations Manager - 1 KB article:

· 961046  Error message when you use the SetActionAccount.exe utility to update the action account password or to change to a new action account in a MOM 2005 Service Pack 1 environment: "Unable to set credentials. Verify the Management Group name is correct"

System Center - 2 KB articles:

· 959834  Hotfix Package 2 for Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.5: December 2008

· 960012  You cannot sequence Visual Studio 2008 in Microsoft Application Virtualization 4.5
