September 22 - October 5 Hot-Fix KB articles Weekly Release - Windows Legacy Products

In the last 2 weeks, 7 Windows Legacy products related hot-fix KB articles were released, including 3 for Windows XP, 2 for Windows Server 2003 and 2 for SMS. Below are the details:

 

Windows XP - 3 KB articles:

· 957495  The action controls in Sound Recorder may be missing or only partly visible on a computer that is running a non-English version of Windows XP if you set the font size to Large or Extra large

· 957264 Error message when an MSComm control–based application which runs on a Windows XP-based terminal server tries to access a redirected COM serial port on the local computer: "error reading comm device"

· 955567 Data corruption may occur when you try to append data to a FILESTREAM varbinary (max) column in SQL Server 2008 on a Windows XP-based computer

Windows Server 2003 - 2KB articles:

· 957419 Hardware-mirrored SCSI disks may be corrupted on a Windows Server 2003-based cluster node

· 957187 You may receive a "Stop 0x00000050" error message if you use some OpenType fonts on a computer that is running Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, or Windows Server 2008

System Management Server - 2 KB articles:

· 955262 You receive an error message when you click and then update the Drivers node in the Configuration Manager console of a Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 site that uses SQL Server 2008 for the site database

· 955229 You experience issues in the original release of System Center Configuration Manager 2007 after you upgrade some site databases to SQL Server 2008
