Partner Perspective on Release of Microsoft SQL Server 2012

Today, Microsoft announced the release of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 to manufacturing. This is an exciting opportunity for our partners and we are already seeing great momentum from hosting partners adopting SQL Server 2012. I asked Takeshi Eto with DiscountASP.NET to provide some comments on his early review of the release. Takeshi and his team have been active early adopters of technology and provide some interesting insights on their blog.

In Takeshi’s own words…

Since 2003, DiscountASP.NET has focused on providing hosting solutions for ASP.NET developers. We provide two types of services: ASP.NET web application hosting on the latest Windows Web Stack; and Team Foundation Server hosting, a SaaS solution for application lifecycle management. As a Microsoft Partner with the Gold Hosting Competency and Visual Studio Industry Partner, we try to stay on top of upcoming Microsoft technologies. We have been involved with early adopter programs for several Microsoft products and are excited to participate in SQL Server 2012 beta. Our crew has been working with SQL Server2012 for 4 months and blogged about statistical semantic search.

We look forward to deploying a hosted SQL Server 2012 offering and help our customers leverage Microsoft’s investment in SQL technology enhancements.
