【IIS7】 WSSはダウンロードして使う役割に変更

昨日 エバンジェリストチームで結構話題になっていたんですが、WSSの提供方法が若干変わったようです。

要するにRC0まではインストールすると役割のリストに出ていたんですが、ダウンロードして追加する形になるということですね。

これによって今までIIS7のセッションで私が表として出していたものがまた少し変わりますね。

Windows Server 2008 （Datacenter、Enterprise、Standard）
役割数：16　＋ WSV：仮想/x64のみ、WMS：メディアサービス（ダウンロード追加）、WSS：SharePointサービス （ダウンロード追加）

Windows Server 2008 （Datacenter、Enterprise、Standard）のServer Core
役割数：16 - .NETを前提としているもの + WSV + WMS

Windows Web Server 2008
役割数：1　＋ WMS：メディアサービス、WSS：SharePointサービス

Windows Web Server 2008 のServer Core
役割数：1　＋ WMS：メディアサービス

これから継続的にこの辺はウォッチしていきたいと思います。

[IIS7] WSS is going to be a download available role

Yesterday, we were talking about this in our team. Seems that how WSS is going to be released will change from RC1.

WSS is listed in the role selection wizrard in RC0 but from RC1, you'll need to download it and add the role.

This changes the information I always showed in my IIS7 session as a chart matrix.

Windows Server 2008 （Datacenter、Enterprise、Standard）
# of Roles：16　＋ WSV：Virtualization/x64 Only, WMS：Media Services(Downloadable), WSS：SharePoint Services(Downloadable)

Windows Server 2008 （Datacenter、Enterprise、Standard） Server Core Install
# of Roles：16 - Roles that need .NET + WSV + WMS

Windows Web Server 2008
# of Roles：1　＋ WMS + WSS

Windows Web Server 2008  Server Core Install
# of Roles：1　＋ WMS
