【運用管理】 Data Protection Manager 2007の開発が完了

第二代道場 運用管理編で取り上げていたDPMですが、当時 V2 と言っていたDPM2007の開発が完了した模様です。DPM2006 はファイルサーバーを中心としたデータ保護でしたが DPM2007 は本格的にサーバー製品のデータ保護も視野に入れていながらHDDをメインのバックアップ対象に据えたいい製品です。是非 一度ご検討いただければと思います。

DPMはインストーラがMU対応なので、英語でも日本語でも一つのインストーラです。TechNet サブスクリプションでも入手可能になっています。Server製品 - System Center の下にあります。

[System Management] Data Protection Manager 2007  RTM'd!

The second IT Pro Dojo we did was about system management and in it I introduced a product called Data Protection Manager 2006. The version we called V2 at that time has now finished development and went into manufacturing phase, the product's name is Data Protection Manager 2007. DPM2006 was a big story backing data up to HDDs but was mainly about file server scenarios. DPM2007 is about server product data protection which is where everyone's interest is. I certainly would ask you to try this product out - it's cool stuff.

DPM's installer is multi-language so same installer for English & Japanese. It's there at TechNet Subscriptions under Server - System Center.
