TechMentor 2012 Follow Up from Presentations given on August 21, 2012

I had the pleasure of delivering two sessions at TechMentor 2012 in Redmond, WA on August 21, 2012. I am a bit behind in getting my post up, but thanks to a reminder from one of the attendees (Dan – Thank you!), I am getting this post up now. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

The first session I delivered was the What’s New in Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V. You can view the presentation here or download it from Slideshare via the “View on Slideshare” option.

I do want to point out an error I stated during the presentation. I had stated that Windows Server 2012 Standard only supported 32 GB of RAM when in fact, it supports 4 TB of RAM just like the Datacenter edition. In fact, there is only one difference between Windows Server 2012 Standard and Datacenter Editions. The Standard Edition only supports 2 Virtual Machines without additional OS licensing per Standard License whereas Datacenter Edition supports unlimited.

The Second session was on Deploying Windows Server 2012 Core. You can view the presentation here or download it from Slideshare via the “View on Slideshare” option.
