Getting ready to start Day 1 of TechEd 2012 in Orlando, Florida (Monday, June 11, 2012)

I’m totally excited to be in Orlando for TechEd 2012!!! Okay, I’m excited to be at TechEd, but not necessarily enjoying the humidity in Orlando. Smile

There is sooooo much going on this year and I can’t wait to hear the feedback from attendees on the sessions. Think about this … we recently released Windows 8 Release Preview, Windows Server 2012 Release Candidate, Visual Studio 2012 Release Candidate and Windows Azure Spring 2012 release (Linux support and Persistent Virtual Machines to mention two new capabilities). I’m sure there’s more around some of our other product lines, but I will wait for official announcements before saying anything else on that front. There is just so much going on this year that I’m sure if you’re like me, you’ll want to replicate yourself a few times so you can attend every session you want, have time to hit all the parties and still get enough rest to make it to the next day without being totally exhausted.

This year, I will be working 80% of the time at the Geek Lounge in the Connect Zone in the North side of the Expo Hall. If you are here at Tech Ed, please stop by and say hi and let me know what you think of the conference. Also, take the opportunity to learn more about the Microsoft Virtual Academy (MVA), IT Camps and the TechNet Evaluation Center. We’ll also help you get entered into a raffle for a Dell Alienware Laptop (totally awesome portal desktop). Here are some photos of the Geek Lounge area (say Hi to Bob Hunt standing on the left).
